The Process of Archetypal Attribution

Archetypal Attribution

A reflective writing on the symbolic nature of perception, understanding, and the hidden energies behind the subconscious filters shaping ordinary interpersonal perception—what I’ve come to call ‘archetypal attribution’.

This came through during a time of deep reflection on perception, misunderstanding, and symbolic reality. What determines how a person sees something? What does it mean to see, and why is seeing necessary? How can we be ourselves in a world of limited perception and how can we transcend these limitations?

Archetypes are images, or places of contained ideas and energy that hold certain value—negative or positive—or something in between. We use many concepts intuitively and instinctively and feel the meaning behind them, so there’s a specific feeling-association to archetypes. But what exactly are they?

Herein lies a word play, and I think it originates, like many words, out of the Divine City of Ideas. Many words seem to point directly to what they represent, even between different languages. I believe languages are received, not created from nothing, just like Spiritual Scriptures, as the Bhagavad Gita is

Humans were placed in a playful test by a power far greater than their limited understanding, to figure it out... Many solutions were also placed within the reach of man (individualized Divine Consciousness). It’s as if the Creator threw a bone for its pets to fetch. So language has been discovered in the same way—as destined code, only to be revealed. It’s super fascinating and complex how we’ve come to this point where we are now. It’s all about the unfolding of cosmic events, while the Supreme Life truly gains nothing from it, but It’s truly behind it all—every single thing and detail is absolutely necessary. And the claim about the Supremes lack of lack is truly accurate when properly understood. Just like a crow flying past a palm tree causing a coconut to fall to the ground might seem like it dislodged it, although the event just occurred at the same time.

The word play is like this: there’s a cosmic archive of imprinted ideas or energetic structures, and type means something that’s typical to these structures. It’s called the Akashic Record—a storehouse of all that has taken place and modified creation, giving birth to certain contained ideas. It’s the predestined storehouse of cosmic events recorded in ethereal form as images and energy. Archetypes are like clusters of embodied ideas brought forth from an initial archetypal impulse and strengthened through a long history of cultivation. I think these archetypes are predestined and only to be discovered, so there’s no absolute causal relation to them with individualized creatures actions.

Archetypes are divisions within creation offering contrast, like lamp posts on a street. Archetypes are the cosmic potentials for formation and attribution, in this instance connecting a person's actions to an archetype, or something that’s archetypal.

But no event has a single cause, and things are multifaceted.

Fundamental Attribution Error (FAE) is a cognitive bias where people tend to overemphasize personality traits or intentions while underestimating external circumstances when explaining others’ actions.

Attribution

Attribution is the process of connecting events to causes. It’s the process of identifying the causes behind observed events or behaviors.

Philosophers use attribution when discussing moral responsibility, intentions, or the nature of causation.

In psychology, attribution theory looks at how people explain others’ behavior or their own.

In everyday life attribution happens constantly, for instance, when we believe we know why someone acts the way they do.

There are two forms of this process:

  • Internal attribution (aka dispositional): Blaming the person — “He betrayed person X because he is cruel.”

  • External attribution (aka situational): Blaming the situation — “He betrayed because person X told him something unkind.”

Putting These Two Together

Archetypal Attribution, then, is the process of attributing an event's cause to something archetypal. It is easier to assign as an event’s cause something that’s already familiar, but that’s only guess work. Life is complex.

There are many archetypes and there are actually many struggles that are archetypal, yet many people still believe they are alone in whatever they’re struggling with. You haven’t made it up, and whatever it is, many others have walked through something similar, too. Because it's archetypal, not atypical.

Human minds are largely governed by symbolism, and the resulting psychological attribution process opts to assign an event to a cause which symbolizes fulfillment for the craving of intellectual certainty. This is attribution, and I am now welcoming you to reflect on it in an archetypal context.

Curse of the Light-bearer

Something highly archetypal is the struggle of those who carry light. Mystics, shamans, lightworkers and witches, etc., have gone through hardships since the first century. These are beings who carry light and wisdom, and sometimes this light shines in places full of darkness, exposing what’s hidden resulting in backlashes where old archetypes break and new ones are created. The spiritual reformers’ life is a battlefield because of this, and the battle is not against people, the battle is against structures of hell trying to conceal the Divine Light.

Archetypes exist in a potential form in the beginning of creation, but their formation into existence is tied to causality and repetition. Each event that ties to the specific archetypal energy reinforces that field.

I am of northern roots as I’m from Finland. We have this name for a ‘guy’ that is 'tyyppi'. The English translation is like a 'type' or a 'guy'. And the word for arc is 'arkki'. So archetype gets translated as 'arkkityyppi'—a guy of the archive, or typical-to-the-archive.

Finland is a profound country, it’s at the Earth’s third eye—and this is the Voice of the North (one of them) speaking.

Mechanics of Archetypal Attribution

Archetypal attribution is a psychological mechanism that takes place when something happens and people attribute the incident to an archetypal cause, resulting in projecting this archetypal energy back to the person who only awakened this instinct. This is often unconscious and no one's fault – just how human brains work. The mammalian parts of human brains and the people under its yoke are heavily driven by instincts out of which the primary instinct is to notice danger and prevent it. And what a person perceives as danger depends on them to an extent. But our primary instinct is to look for threats, and then remove them. This usually happens through understanding, which relies heavily on symbolic understanding—archetypal attribution.

Let’s say somebody does something, maybe even by accident, and people notice. People's main concern in this society seems to be to prevent perceived danger, even if not properly understood. It might be the littlest fish, but gets attributed with a shark-archetype. A tiny fish bubbling in the waters suddenly becomes the shark. Small things become big when they’re attributed to enormous causes—some of these are called shadow archetypes.

When society senses even the smallest ripple of 'danger,' it may label it with an archetype. Here are a few of the most common shadow projections people 'unconsciously' use:

Examples of Common Shadow Archetypes:

The Narcissist – the cunning, manipulative and abusive person

The Abuser – the punisher or violator The Witch – the feared feminine or wild unknown

The Lunatic – the one who sees differently

The Pothead – the one who uses Santa Maria (Marijuana) for medicinal or spiritual purposes Note: I do not recommend smoking anything nor condone engagement in illegal activities in one's living location.

The Monster – the misunderstood “other"

The Bitch – the moody feminine person

The Dummy – the simple, performative "dude"

These archetypes aren't just roles—they’re psychic containers for fear, often misplaced.

There are many villainized archetypes, and even the littlest indication towards that kind of activity may cause people to unknowingly cast you into that category, on some level causing the intake of that energy into your own field.

This is particularly why gossip is so poisonous—archetypal attribution rules people's minds. And one of the most dangerous forms of gossip is gossip done by an authority who understands this dynamic and knows what they are doing.

There are certain stereotypes which are real trouble centers. These are energy fields attributed to the most inhumane archetypal burdens of mankind. And as said, even the littlest indication could make you fall into that category unknowingly. Let’s prevent this.

The reason why these ideas, and archetypes, are so insidious and reactive is that they oppose or are perceived to oppose the most profound human need: safety. Why is safety so important? It’s because only in safety our true, blissful, happy nature can be as it is. This is because protector parts will activate where there is perceived danger, and this prevents the free flow of Life. That’s why we want safety so much. It’s inherent, while conditions of unsafety are signs of dysregulation and inharmony. But in these temporary places a person can always remember that their true home remains the Source always.

As birds have their nests, foxes have their holes, man hath nowhere to lay his/her head… For man is forever in unity with its maker with no real physical location to take but temporary root in.

Man refers to the individualized Divine Consciousness—not the masculine gender. All manifestations in form whether masculine or feminine, or in between, arise within creation, traditionally understood as feminine. But these are just descriptions, I personally don't think in these terms absolutely—they're binaries. One deeply rooted archetype is God as ‘Him’. But if this is the case, and no form exists outside of Him, how can that archetype be strictly applied to any creature that was inevitably manifested through the vibration of AUM, or Word?

The Holy Spirit (AUM or the Word) is the androgynous (balanced) creative vibration that gives rise to all things, channeling the power of the Source through Infinite Nature—Prakriti—and thus embodying a wide spectrum of qualities in manifestation. All created beings therefore embody the three phases of this triune creation process and also their three bodies—ideational, energetic, and physical—simultaneously. Now, where do we put the label?

The magic of contemplative reflection's like this are that they can't be satisfied on the level of thinking that excludes possibilities for new perspectives. They're not absolute either. They're not a solution. To seek a solution implies a problem. Thus they can be only received anew—but new tends to feel new and that requires surrendering the old. A kind of unbribable situation... This is not a demand—but a contemplative reflection.

Archetypal Burdens

Archetypal, burdened energy fields are real living embodiments of the universal pains once occurred. I recommend not to go digging, however—these things are not to be played with, although I mostly see Life as Divine Lila.

There are certain legacy burdens which, still to this day, are sensitive topics. Some of these include themes which oppose real or perceived safety, and this is exactly why they are so triggering and easily attributed to people's behavior. If something resembles something archetypally triggering even in the slightest way, the whole essence of the archetypal energy can become projected onto an individual, as they have been associated with the field containing those ideas.

Some archetypal burdens include those which are in starkest opposition to the fundamental desires of expressive consciousness—to be seen, appreciated, and allowed to express freely and safely. These are fields which contain the ideas of the most opposing qualities to humans and the basic need mentioned: safety. Lack of safety is the reason why healthy people would inject themselves with poison. It’s the reason why a Child of God would not remember Truth.

Some of these include:

  • Race racism

  • Oppression of women

  • Criminal activities

  • Mental illness or perceived instability

  • Poverty or financial failure

  • Neurodivergence

  • Spiritual intensity

  • Non-conformity

These are essentially things that parts in people tend to scan for preventing danger. And the smallest cue indicating these, in a mindset triggered from those very things, can cause them to assimilate the triggering impulse with that—even if there’s no sense in it. This scarcity mindset can cause innocent victims of hateful conditioning to persecute other innocent victims.

This can manifest as:

Somebody labeling you as mentally ill because you opened up at your most vulnerable times, and obviously, it was a mess. A sacred mess.

Being crafted as a criminal due to nonconformity.

An assigned male at birth individual who embraces feminine beaty being labelled as a 'transvestite'.

Or people close to me getting threatened because of my love for Transcendence and Divine Fire.

Or a sincere masculine authority getting labelled as an abuser because of objectivity. This is a really sensitive topic today.

Or a neurodivergent person falsely attributed to wrong, only because they were around at the time and didn’t know better.

Or an attractive woman being falsely labelled as a ‘slut’.

Or a shaman who works with plant medicines being labelled as a drug dealer or an addict.

Life’s Labyrinth

Most people don’t truly know all that goes on behind the scenes. It’s all a spontaneous and not so spontaneous unfoldment, and we’ve come to this place as co-creators through the unfoldment of cosmic karma. We just have history books, read them, and believe that, once upon a time, person A told person B something which resulted in so-and-so situation. But we don’t truly know everything. And since it’s often the truly good that are being persecuted, and the super empaths who are being targeted, don’t you see that there’s a reversal dynamic here? Things aren’t what they seem—just like the blueness of the sky only shows through the brain’s inability to see the wholeness. That’s why one has to go beyond and, in a way, become totally ‘brainless’.

Complexity of Spoken Communication

Now, if I were to ask you: What does the word car bring to your mind? Some might see a red car riding on a palm street, some may see an alien construct flying in space. But whatever it is, it is only one concept which has entirely different associations in the mind-computers of different individuals. Then consider the fact that we use multiple sentences in a row, all constructed from words with entirely different associations in different minds. And we might even discuss rapidly within a group of many people. Let alone the person who speaks a lot to deaf ears.

I’m now seeing an image. I see a room full of people who each think they’re all right and throw ‘energetic arrows’ in the air. Ugh, seems so chaotic. There’s no truth in this at all—but only in the silence where we don’t assign causes to events personally, but look at all as the super complex cosmic unfolding of the Lord’s Drama.

Archetypal Attribution is a process I’ve observed to take place in the cognitive process of understanding what we see and assimilating it with something we already know. But this is conditioning. I want to comfort fanatic spiritualists: you’ll feel a lot freer when you just give up. Be a nobody. Then you can receive the fullness. I don’t subscribe to the idea that ‘God is nothing’. God is fullness. Some ancient teachers just tell others to give everything up because they can’t tolerate others having meaningful content that they haven’t given permission to exist.

Many of these ancient archetypes are now coming to the surface to be transformed into new ones.

Hold tight.

It is the mystery, and magic—at least to me—which is like religion. It surely is the steady, contradictionless knowing too, which is like a flame in a windless place. It’s actually that much more. But as there are many mansions in the building of the Creator, there are also many types of Spiritual experiences. And if something happens only once the way it does, and often, you are the only one to witness it, isn’t that really special? Isn’t that Godly—otherworldly? Or—Super-natural, instead of suffering? Yes, it is.

Many mystics do not know that there’s a still field and a moving field which are both interwoven, the latter often providing more insight about the former through Divine Stabilization. That’s why this process occurs. I think it’s not correct to sink into nothingness too soon, before enough good karma, because it’s after all because of the Miracle of Life that moving objects move.

The emptiness some teachers talk about, I’ve found out, is a protector part opted for ensuring survival in a demanding, hierarchical structure which demands, and sometimes, even praises depletion, framing it as dispassion. Dispassion is essential to an extent as ordinary passion can be distracting—while spiritual passion is a deep, dynamic drive. Let your enthusiasm burn like a steady flame on the altar of your Divine Fire Rite.

A kind of giving away of sins, and everything else in the process.

Very well, how suggestible indeed is a needless person, whose needs get to be defined from the outside…

The Spirit is full and in IT, there’s an Image reflected. This Image never needed to get in such a hassle for the purpose of seeing itself more clearly—that is only stirring the water where the picture is reflected even now effortlessly.

Seeing Clearly

I am essentially preaching about clarity—being guided by the heart and always following the inner knowing. Knowing, some hear so loudly that it can no longer be ignored, even if they were to be horribly persecuted or have already faced slander. And whenever we see things through a blind, mechanical attribution process, we are not feeling what we see, but only associating what’s in front of us with a rigid idea stored in our mind-computer and the collective mind-computer where individual minds get a lot of their ideas. That’s like being in the back of your head while present witnessing happens in the frontal parts of the head and brain, particularly when actually paying attention to the person you’re communicating with through eyes and gestures. When we do this, we do not associate the person in front of us with a set of internalized beliefs, but actually see them. One can even see the soul and it’s really beautiful regardless of the wounds on the surface.

This is why I have often been interpersonally blind to what happens on the personality-level.

Creating New Archetypes

Archetypes are familiar ideas we know, but these are not fixed and they can also transform while new ones are being created.

Such as:

  • Diversity is okay, and a fundamental part of existence in phenomenal realms

  • Spiritual enlightenment doesn’t require a church or an organization

  • Witches (real ones) have a good intention

  • Transgender people exist and are a fundamental part of existence

  • All people of all races are equal

  • Sacred plant medicines and psychedelics are not ‘drugs’, but intelligent spiritual guides that need to be respected

  • The government isn’t solely wholesome

  • Human counsel is ultimately and innately good

  • Kind people exists

  • That there’s a God that’s not an idol or a person

  • That disadvantaged people can transform, and change their lives entirely

  • Mental illness is directly linked to life events and shouldn’t be pathologized

  • That it's fine to enjoy Life as a person devoted to the Spiritual Path

I’ve noticed in my own life, as a deeply spiritually inclined individual, that I am being easily judged and harshly evaluated when discussing certain matters. Whenever I talk about spirituality, or God—which for me indicates a living experience in the present as all things—I’m being harshly labeled as a religionist. A cult leader who wants to put up a cult is another funny accusation. Or one who enforces their own ideas on others. Or the one who’s on drugs.

Alas! I just spent my last buck on a bunch of drugs! I’m a Spiritual Addict.

But I’m saying rather: haven’t you already seen and felt it too? Doesn’t Life’s undeniable vastness make you awestruck?

When I have been elaborating on gender expansiveness—as that has always been natural for me—I’ve been viewed as a pervert, or the adulterer who wants to invade the intimate space of others. But my approach is entirely spiritual

When I have truly wanted to support somebody deeply hurt by certain archetypal burdens and have offered my support, I have been seen as the wrongdoer, and not as the unconditional person I am. In such cases, the person's mind might have attributed everybody to the horrible event which traumatized them. In a way, this is assigning innocent people as the cause of their distress due to trauma.. And so the feeding hand gets bitten, and it pulls back.

I have been crafted as the ‘dangerous one’ simply due to the intensity in my Life-faith. So much so that these people thought I, a lovable, and loving, graceful person, was being malicious. Maybe they thought it that way, but it’s not the way it was.

And these distortions may have occurred simply due to a misunderstanding which swelled, and does not apply to the present reality, that can only be seen with the most careful eye. And when you see it, you don’t have a need to go through the internal process of understanding what you see through an archetypal understanding—you see purely and rarely. You don’t need an intellectual process to see. That's still checking—not cherishing.

When a person misunderstands and doesn’t see you clearly, they might be subconsciously projecting and weaponizing. See? All people like you are like this—why would you be an exception? Why would you differ from the archetype my mind is associating to you for me to understand you better?

It's an important skill to know how to call things by their names, and I myself am archetypal on many levels. I am only calling out archetypal torture—they were never meant to be weaponized. Shadow archetypes can serve as warnings, but can go overboard.

Very well, what wouldn't a mind that want's to dominate do anyway.

I just wish to emphasize that the processes of understanding, and Life in general, are super multifaceted—and only you can know and see yourself fully. Then when you know this, you are able to blend in with other self-aware individuals. But you can’t always make yourselves see each other fully, but sometimes it does occur. Just like the whole universe is filled with countless galaxies, solar systems and planets, all peopled with intelligent life forms, all working cohesively together—but can’t see each other.

Let this sink in.
